It’s Spring Break time. Hooray! If you can’t make it to the beach this year there’s no need to despair, Indy has plenty of great spring break activities and, even better, many of them are FREE! Whether you’re pinching pennies or just love a good deal, check out these fantastic local offerings and get your break on!
Join an Easter Egg Hunt
Your child’s break likely includes Easter weekend. Just because Easter is technically on a Sunday doesn’t mean that’s the only day you can hunt eggs. Check out this list of local egg hunts, some complete with the Bunny himself! You may even get a free breakfast!
Go out to Dinner
Who says kids should have all the fun? Get yourself a tasty bite or even a semi-date night while the kids eat for free! My personal fave is Scotty’s Dawghouse which offers a play area and free meals for kids on Tuesdays and Sundays (with adult entree purchase). Check out our list to see where else Kids Eat Free!
Get some Fresh Air
Though the Indiana weather can be unpredictable this time of year it feels great to get some fresh air when you can. Head to your favorite park or check out one of these outside activities:
Take a hike
Take a stroller friendly hike
Have a picnic
Take a family bike ride
Go fly a kite
Visit the Museums
Most of the local museums have a few free days scattered throughout the year. Check out one you’ve never been to!
Inside Exercise Options
Rain getting in the way of your plans? No problem. Stay inside and keep moving with these indoor stroller walks.
And don’t forget about the indoor playgrounds. See five here or check out the new one at Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Fishers
If you haven’t checked out Bonicci’s Family Fun Place in McCordsville check it out during their free admission day on Tuesdays!
Need more ideas? Check out this list of 99 things to do this spring! (They aren’t all free but…well, there are 99 of them!)
